Zombie Uprising is a live actor zombie event at Yorkshire Outdoor Activity Park. Your group takes on missions to help stop a zombie virus, while our actors play the part of real zombies throughout the experience. Me and my boyfriend had a paintballing session booked here a few weeks ago... it was FAB!! We were teamed up with great players and had a laugh the whole way through, especially winning a Prat of the day award! Paintballing was so much fun and we can't wait to come back soon. Great party for 16 yr old. 9 in party but join with others for large paintball battles. Di recommend the extra 200 balls. That's 500 in hour and a half. Split them into 3 groups so you don't run out. They did the 90 minute games which was enough.

Had my lad Billy's 6th birthday party here on Sunday and all I can say is superb. Friendly staff and management, organised safe and well run, kids loved it, great food and will 100% be back. Highly recommend from us 🤘

I booked a party for my 10 year old. It was honestly amazing. The team are so so lovely and took care of the children but it was so well organised I could not fault anything. All of the children said they had the best time! The party room was “zombie” themed and it was soooo good. We were offered other options if we wanted them. We would absolutely do it again tomorrow! What an amazing place! Thank you! Special shout out to Charlie and Frazier who looked after us during the session.

Due to an error on my part, we arrived to find the centre closed for maintenance. The staff extremely kindly opened for us and gave my daughter a fabulous 15th birthday party! We are so, so grateful for the amazing experIence. Emily and Andy were such fun, knowledgeable and professional. The owner is also an amazing person too and we thank everyone for being so accommodating and kind. We will definitely be back and highly recommend the centre to anyone young or older!

Brilliant site to start-off; been going for the past few months for the Airsoft events under 'Halo Mill: Proving Grounds'. The facilities are great with plenty of seating and space allocation for your kit and gear - if the main hall runs out of spots then there's an overflow section with long benches so even if the site is almost at capacity, you're guaranteed a spot. The food they offer at lunch is actually quite decent alongside cheap - spent £4.75 for a burger and a can of soda which is far cheaper than anywhere else that I've been. Regarding the day itself; the briefing was engaging with jokes thrown here and there. Game wise, there is timed objectives active throughout the day which keeps gameplay engaging as it prevents you from standing in one spot just picking off players. Overall, I recommend anyone and everyone to go if they get the opportunity - this site is amongst my top 5 without a doubt.

We came and celebrated today with a game of gelball for my son’s birthday, fantastic staff, attentive and friendly. Such a great set up and everything ran so smoothly. We booked the zombie party room also which went down a storm the boys absolutely loved it such a great idea. Andrew and Emily were very attentive in making sure all the children were happy with the dark lights, zombies and spooky noises as they have different levels of lighting etc letting them go have a look first before committing.
Would highly recommend to anyone looking for the perfect birthday party setting or just a fun day out with friends! We can’t wait to return.

Booked a VIP experience here, last year. However, due to illness, we had to postpone until today. The owner was absolutely understanding and couldn’t have accommodated us more - not every centre would have done the same! Then we had to change dates again, due to an unexpected family visit and again the centre accommodated our needs. Therefore, I could not recommend the owners more 10/10 🌟
When all is booked you get so much helpful literature, which again is not the same as some venues. And confirmation is prompt, with helpful 3 words, to get there and not lost. However, my daughter did get lost, because her car is big and she didn’t see the sign, but the staff helped her get there quickly and safely ❤️ 10/10 🌟
Health and safely was a must and it was gone through at an age appropriate way. The staff didn’t mind how many times people asked questions, or how many times they had to go over/break things down, they were still happy and helpful. Some places it is once and then dismissed; even if it’s not been understood. 10/10 🌟
Unlike most activity centres, for lunch it’s either burger, hotdog, or something similar - with a vegetarian option too! I’ve been to many different centres and the options have always been a pit noodle! The hotdog isn’t a small one either and fills you up nicely. It’s all wrapped in a special bag, so it’s piping hot on delivery - unlike many venues. 10/10🌟
I could not praise the entertainment staff more. They were really bubbly and extremely helpful; trying to give the birthday person as much of a special day, as they could - with
Lots of little hidden extra treats. Every member of staff went out of their way, to make the day as special and enjoyable as it could ever have been. The rain didn’t even affect any enjoyment! 10/10 🌟
The centre doesn’t only do paintballing, but also, axe throwing; lasers quest; archery and special monthly/seasonal events. Please check out their website for more details!
If I was to say anything that could be improved upon, it would be a bigger sign (in both directions) and photos/footage that you could purchase on the day. ❤️

What a great day, from start to finish. Welcomed by Clarky and Charlie who both continued to make the day fantastic. They made sure we got our moneys worth for the experience and made it enjoyable throughout the games. Will definitely be returning again.

This place is fab! We came in June to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday and did the 1.5 hours paint balling. We all had a great time and could not wait to return. We booked a child's paintball party for my son’s 11th birthday which we had this week.. again a fab time was had by all. Emily the marshal on both days is a credit to your team ensuring everyone had a good time whilst also keeping safety as one of the top priorities which is obviously very important when children are doing this activity. The kids loved the zombie theme party room and i would not hesitate to book another party here again. The only criticism i could give is that the parties are very expensive so would probably expect the marshals to be more involved in the lighting of candles for cake singing happy birthday etc and any photos on the day taken by the marshals to be shared with parents too.

My son wanted to do paintballing for his 18th birthday party. after a quick search, Yorkshire activity park came up. Looked into it and booked the 90 minute session for 10 people. WOW. What a day we had. SO much fun was had by all, safety was the first and foremost priority but did not impact the experience at all. Clarky was an absolute hoot, the boss man was great, explained everything clearly and my son and the whole family had a fantastic day. We will definitely be returning for a re match!!!

I'm a regular for the Halo Mill: Proving Grounds event normally on the first Sunday of the month.
Always improving, always fun, always a good day out for people of all ages.
Food on site, car parking (drive slowly down the lane, this is a woodland area), a safe zone where you can leave your gear and have a drink before getting back into it. HPA for your tank, paint and other consumables ready to buy.
I hope to carry on visiting for many years to come.

Great place with friendly, helpful staff. We took my step-son and his mates here for his 13th birthday and they had a blast. Good value too. The staff were brilliant and helped us to truly embarrass him (he was dressed up as a banana for one game). We'll certainly be back. Highly recommended.

On being invited to Y.O.A.P to be part of a family day (we are in our later years) and unsure...
The day started with a great welcoming by Andy owner of the activity park. The Marshals Angie and Clarkie introduced us to a rifle shooting, longbow and axe throwing. These events brought back memories of our youth in the 1960's where lots of families had an air rifle. Again the Marshals were brilliant, they had time and patience to lead us through these events introducing a little competition among other family members of all ages.
A thoroughly brilliant day which I would highly recommend to all, give it a go....

Again the Marshals were brilliant, they had time and patience to lead us through these events introducing a little competition among other family members of all ages.
A thoroughly brilliant day which I would highly recommend to all, give it a go....

Amazing place! The staff are so fun, playful and generous. Definitely worth the cost. Made for an epic adventure day! Clarky and Angie are superstars and they really created a fantastic experience. Thank you so so much!

Absolutely amazing super great staff with amazing games and amazing players. Great day out highly recommend as its a great place to be with great people. Just a big family for everyone. Come and give it ago and see for yourself. Angie is so lovely and makes sure everyone is welcome.

Took some students and this place is one of the best paintballing sites we've used. Reasonably priced, great facilities, professional staff (Emily and Andy) and good/fun games. Safety was 10/10 and didn't affect the playing. Will definitely return! 🙂

Brilliant Activity Centre, Came with college on an evening for Paintballing and they did not disappoint, staff were incredibly friendly and also made sure we were all safe. Would come again and highly reccomend.

Was a great few games. It was mixed teams between our group of 14 with other groups. The first map is a great warm up. And no it’s doesn’t hurt too much if you get shot. The staff are very say and friendly. Though it did really feel like they tried to sell us lots of extras. Tho I was happy about the upgraded gun. Over all I would recommend

What an experience had a great day here Andy and the team could not be more welcoming and attentive helped us out through out the day. And it was my sons birthday and they looked after him with giving him a nice suit to wear what a day highly recommended we will definitely be coming back!!! 😀😀😀

Absolutely brilliant day!! Had a VIP day with 10 of us for our birthdays. Had a couple of problems with some people that turned up later and the Marshalls sorted it straight away and rewarded us with free upgraded guns and free paint balls and a smoke grenade. Thank you to Emily for everything today. Highly recommend! Thank you so much everyone!

Absolutely amazing time today (27/10/23) with a group of 10, couldn’t have been looked after better, staff are incredible and set out the rules clearly. We will absolutely be back many many times!! Emily and Clarkey boy were especially attentive, couldn’t do enough for us and we can’t thank them enough!!!

Really great day out. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Tried paintball and loved it. Went back to try air rifle. Loved how patient they were in helping me work out how to adapt to being right handed but left eyed. Can't wait to go again.

Thank you for an awesome experience! Everyone had a ball, and our son won't forget his 16th birthday event. Thank you for being a part of his day. Great venue, great event, friendly and awesome staff, highly recommend it! Feel like we made two new friends today, so thanks Karen and Andy for hosting our group. Loved paintballing for a mate's stag.
Great venue with various courses to battle it out in the groups from the day.
Pricing wasn't too bad on paintballs, seen higher prices in different spots. Plus you can upgrade the gun with a package deal.
Liked the marshall being attentive through the game, rewarding those being better than the rest. (e.g. risking themselves to grab the flag/active the objective).

Amazing day out with the lads. The marshalls and all the staff were great and more than happy to deal with the rowdy group I brought with me. Good Times had and great memories made, will definitely be going back.

Great well organised place. lots of options. decent little cafe and staging area, great Marshalls . bring plenty of money for paint and smoke grenades. £35 for 500 . smoke grenades £5. gun upgrade £10.
the woods field is interesting with some great cover and buildings including a plane and a massive bridge to fight over.
sorry I forgot the names of our Marshalls but the man and woman were fantastic with our group of kids even when one of ours got benched for safety issues. and fair play to them for a robust response.

Fantastic venue. Booked and attended for an 11 year olds party with a mix of boys and girls, and 2 younger players aged 6.
Game - We opted for Laser which is played in the smaller secure gaming map making it ideal for the younger children. They played team challenged and quests, all kids loved it. The game is supervised by an instructor. Our kids just wore trainers and ordinary day clothing, and that suited despite a weeks worth of rain prior to the party. The lis even took their coats off despite it being chilly as they were hot running around.
Venue- the atmosphere is epic. Individually designed party rooms that need no party decor simply because the are fantastic without any. A military theme throughout with fluorescent paint and the odd zombies lurking. Party rooms are undercover which makes it great for wet weather.
Facilities- outdoor porter loos, indoor cafe which is well stocked with hot and cold drinks and food. They take cash or card. Food is good value. There is picnic bench seating inside for all, or you can stay in the party room while your kids play. You can go outside to watch and take pictures of the kids playing.
Party food- the children get a minimum of 2 pizza slices, 1 hot dog, crisps and chocolate bars with cold fruit drinks or water. They catered for those gluton intoleranant, although this limits the child to two slices of gluton free pizza, so do bring snacks to add to your child's meal. There was enough hotdogs and pizza left for children to either have an extra pizza slice or hotdog in a party of 13 kids. The food room is a 2nd party room your kids have sole use of, and this is decorated differently, so in essence you get the run of two themed rooms.
Cost - amazing value. For 12 kids with food playing laser it is £160. If an extra child turns up on the day, you can include them for the game and food for an additional £12.50 per child. The venue can accommodate upto 18 as a child party. This resolves the issue of when someone forgets to rsvp.
Other info - there is adequate parking.
Staff - eager to help, well organised, engaging and friendly, and that's all the staff. They are a fantastic team - thank you for making the Benson party the best party ever.
Closing points- it was epic, best party venue ever. Great atmosphere, lovely surroundings. We will be back. Very safe and secure, very well organised.
